Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club exists with the sole purpose of racing their Oxford counterparts at the annual Henley Boat Races.

This year we will race on Sunday 25th March 2012 and we need YOUR help.

Rowing for CUWBC involves a considerable financial commitment of approximately £1200 per athlete each year. This year, generous sponsorship from Newton Investment Management Ltd. and KPMG has alleviated the day-to-day burden. Nonetheless, each athlete needs to raise a further £150 to compete in their boatrace.

Athletes will aim to do this through the generosity of their friends and families, companies in and around Cambridge, those who feel an affinity with CUWBC and college funds and bursaries.

All donations would be gratefully received by the club no matter how big or small. CUWBC are also eligible for gift aid so if you are a UK tax payer this means that for every pound you donate, we receive an additional £0.25: a 25% gain (£10 therefore becomes £12.50).
