At the World Rowing Championships in Munich, Annie Vernon (Blue 2003) sculled in the GB women’s lead boat, the W4x.  The quad dominated the rest of the field from the very first stroke, quickly establishing a length and a half lead that never looked in danger, despite the late charge of the German crew in the last 250m.  The result continues GB’s good form in this event, having won the last three World Championships, so best of luck to Annie and her crew in the run up to Beijing next year!
